The Food Pyramid

Creating our savory, healthy snack.

When I put the knives on the table, they all said, "Bummer! We won't get to use them."

They were SO excited when we talked about knife safety and let them cut their own. I was SO excited we had first aid last week! ;)

Sorry Caitlyn and Aubrey that I missed a picture of you! :(

We are going to have a Troop sleepover at my house...that's when we'll make cookies. :)

GS Meeting Being a Sister #3 and First Aid #4

We had an awesome time with Stacie and Meghan! They were working on a journey about Sisterhood so that they can earn their Gold Award!

Friendship Circle

Telephone Game

Team Building Game

Girl Scout Snack Mix

Flowers for Friends

We also worked on our First Aid badge yesterday, which was awesome!

Thanks Nurse Stalls for helping us earn this badge!

She taught us about how to administer basic first aid

We learned how to and practiced calling 9-1-1

We made our very own First Aid Kits

And here we practice calling 9-1-1, with the ambulance and fire department showing up with their new first aid skills. It was awesome! :)

GS-Painting Meeting #2

We earned the painting badge this evening and had SO much fun! :)

And this is where it should go on the uniform!

There were 5 steps:

1) Get inspired!

We looked at books and picked our favorites.
2) Paint a mood!

Happy...Angry...Calm

3) Paint without brushes!

4) Paint something real!
We could paint portraits of a person or pet, nature, or a still life. Aren't they GREAT?!

5) Tell a story with a mural. Obviously we didn't have time for this at our meeting, but we started discussing a mural we'd like to create for CAES.
