Daisy Meeting #7

In order to earn our hot pink petal, we needed to discuss respecting authority.

What better way to do that than to visit the Police Department! WOW:) We had a such a great time and learned a lot of following the rules...and what happens when you don't! Ha!

In "jail"

We even got to sit on the motorcycle AND the uncomfortable backseat of the police car!

We got tons of prizes!

Thanks Officer Phillips and Officer Bancroft!

And of course a badge!

Daisy Meeting #6

This is the patch they received tonight. Please "attach" to the back of the uniform!
Food Bank:

We did GREAT with our first food drive! Tom from the IOW Food Bank kept saying "You girls did great!" as we kept on bringing out boxes. The girls were also SO excited about doing it!

Respecting Authority Petal:
We also read, or watched rather on You Tube,
which was a GREAT story to discuss respecting authority, our 7th petal (pink magenta). We will finish up this badge next week with our Police Department Tour.

Leaf Badges:
With our up and coming cookie booth, we talked about the 4 leaf badges:

1) Making choices-which discussed needs/wants. We discussed what our troop would want for our meetings. We talked about setting a goal to save money to buy some of the things on our list :).
We also are working on putting together "Comfort Kits" for the IOW Christian Outreach to help others with things they need.

2) Money Counts-which discussed the different kinds of coins and paper money.

3) Count It Up- which discussed how much cookies cost, the different kinds of cookies, and what our goal is with the cookie sales.
4) Talk It Up- which discussed how we will use the money we've earned. We decided we want to use our cookie money to help the poor with comfort kits. We also practiced how to sell cookies at the cookie booth and what to say to inspire our customers to purchase cookies. Here we are practicing :)
